Dodga Demercel: Greetings. : How are you? Dodga Demercel: I'm just fine, thanks. Just doing my job. : What is your job here? Dodga Demercel: I've been assigned to gather important information for the Council of Truth. Although I'm a bit short on people, I do what it takes to get the job done. I just wish they had given me some more people for this task. : Council of Truth? Dodga Demercel: Not much to tell, really. The Council is my employer. I carry out the tasks that are given to me. : Important information? Dodga Demercel: Like I said, my assignment here is to gather important information. It's taking me quite a while, though. I wasn't given enough manpower to do the job properly. It would have been handy with a few more people around to do this kind of work. : Why more people? Dodga Demercel: There's a lot of running around, and frankly I can't be everywhere at once. : You can't apply for more people? Dodga Demercel: I could. But considering the paperwork required, I'd rather recruit able clansmen that volunteer. Fine brothers and sisters in arms, such as yourself! : Paperwork? Dodga Demercel: Yes, plenty of paperwork. Dodga turns on the holographic display on his microcomputer. You can see a bunch of filed forms and applications. : How can I help you? Dodga Demercel: That all depends. Dodga Demercel scans you briefly with a strange sounding instrument. Dodga Demercel: 64,6% bio. I guess that will do. So you're willing to help me out, eh? Can I trust you to keep this under wraps? : Yes. I am trustworthy. Dodga Demercel: That is good to hear. I'm sorry for scanning you like that, but you just can't be too careful these days. There are quite a few strange things going about, and one should be mindful to take notice of them. Now, before I tell you anything more, I have to ask that you do not share the information with anyone else. Is that understood? : I understand. Dodga Demercel: Good. Now listen closely. There are rumors about machines walking around on Rubi-Ka doing very strange things. It could be an Omni plot, but so far nothing has suggested that they might be behind it. However, we must stay vigilant. Will you stay vigilant? : I will be vigilant, Mr. Demercel. Dodga Demercel: Excellent! I like you. But what will you be looking for? We can't have you stumbling blindly about, now can we? It feels like I've done little else these past weeks, but you seem to be the one who can help me get some results. So, are you ready for some robot hunting? : I am ready. Dodga Demercel: Excellent, quite outstanding I might say. I need you to go and dismantle every robot you might find outside our cities. Keep your eyes open for any strange-looking components they might contain and see if you can construct anything interesting. And remember, things are not always what they seem... Well, not to me anyway. Now go! Come and look me up when you have anything worthy of my attention. Why are you still here? Please don't make me regret I recruited you. Go! Off with you, try to make yourself useful! : Goodbye Dodga Demercel: See ya. -- Dodga Demercel: Heya. : I have something for you.. Dodga Demercel: Sounds good. Hand it over. Dodga Demercel: Well, this is interesting. Now I really have something to work with. Well done! Listen, I'll have to examine this thing more closely, run a few tests and such. Why don't you come back in a few hours and I might have some more work for you to do. Ah, almost forgot. Here is my card. Dodga Demercel hands you his card. Dodga Demercel: Return this to me when we meet next time. Can't be too careful these days, with the clones and all. Thanks again for your help. : Let's talk about something else. Dodga Demercel: What else would you like to discuss now? -- Dodga Demercel: Greets. : I have something for you.. Dodga Demercel: Sounds good. Hand it over. Dodga Demercel takes the card and slides it into his wrist-attached intercom. The data of your previous achievements are uploaded, and Dodga gives you a smile, indicating he is pleased with the work you have done for him so far. Dodga Demercel: It's good to see you again, . Your timing is perfect. We have learned a great deal about the Trash King and his followers, thanks to your efforts. I trust you are ready to do some more work for me? Ok then. Here's the deal. The transbioglobular-nano-infused-soul-socet device you gave me last time has brought some new information to light on how these new types of independent machines are able to communicate. Reports from various other sources indicate that there is a small community of these... Ah...well... Let's call them 'sentient' machines, somewhere in Athen Shire. We need to find them and keep them under tight surveillance. I need you to plant tracking devices on these things. Most importantly on their leader, but we'll include his lackeys as well, just in case. Am I going to fast for you? Good. Here's what you need. There are some extras there, so just bring back whatever it is you don't use. : Is there anything else I need to know about my mission? Dodga Demercel: According to reports from the Council of Truth, the leader is most likely found in Athen Shire, but I fear he is in communication and probably also control of several other machines, or henchmen if you will, across the land. I have a device that will help you locate them. It was designed based upon the information and technology you provided us with earlier. All you have to do to get this to work, is to hold it up to the leader or any of his lackeys, and you may be able to pick up some sort of transmission. Hopefully the TKIII Decoder I gave you might reveal the location of the men in his network. There's nothing more I can do to help you. But do bring it back to me when you're done with it. : Let's talk about something else. Dodga Demercel: What else would you like to discuss now? : Goodbye Dodga Demercel: Goodbye. -- Dodga Demercel: Greets. : I have something for you.. Dodga Demercel: Sounds good. Hand it over. Dodga Demercel: This is really fine work! We will now be able to observe the machines, and get more detailed information about what is really going on. So far, though, the Omnis don't seem to be involved. That doesn't exactly put my mind at ease, but time will tell if it's of any consequence. If you are interested, you can come back in a couple of hours when I have had the time to process some of the data. I suspect there will be more to do with this later on. Oh, and when you do return, please hand me this card to identify yourself. Nothing is quite like it seems anymore, you know. Remember: do not speak about this to anyone! And yes, I believe the syringe has something to do with the shoulderpads you got earlier. : Goodbye Dodga Demercel: Goodbye. -- Dodga Demercel: Hello. : I have something for you.. Dodga Demercel: Sounds good. Hand it over. Dodga Demercel takes the card and slides it into his wrist-attached intercom. As he looks through the data of your previous efforts, a smile plays across his face. He is obviously impressed with your feats. Dodga Demercel: You've done well so far. Now... Back to business. I believe you are the right person to help me out at the moment. We've had the Trash King and his cronies under surveillance for a while now, and we've gathered some good information about how they are operating. We've discovered that the Trash King himself keeps his men under control using highly sophisticated technology. There are certain communication processing units divided among the leading androids. The Trash King exerts control over his men through these. I want you to ambush the android leaders, one by one, and try to retrieve the different parts of this device. When you have gathered all the pieces, assemble the device and bring it back to me. With that device we can easily control their activities by posing as any one of them. The Trash King will think he is on his way to world domination, but in reality, we are making sure his kind never becomes a real threat to us. Now go out and do your work. The Council will be very proud of you for your efforts. And remember not to speak of this to anyone. We don't want to create a situation. : Goodbye Dodga Demercel: See ya. -- Dodga Demercel: Greetings. : I have something for you.. Dodga Demercel: Sounds good. Hand it over. Dodga Demercel: I hope you realize that you have just been instrumental in averting a potential disaster. Luckily, we might never find out for sure. On behalf of the Council of Truth, I congratulate you on a job well done! I hope this modest reward will cover your expenses. We are in your debt. I hope to see you working for us again in the future. : Goodbye Dodga Demercel: See ya.
